About Rochelle’s
Brett met Stephen back in 2005 through a mutual friend that has since passed. Over countless backyard BBQ’s, nights out at NY’s best watering holes, and a mutual love for all things ridiculous, these two forged out a solid and life-long friendship that has consistently grown, but hardly matured. The name of the Bar comes from a woman that the two “gentlemen” both “dated”, aptly named “Rochelle”. About 6 months back, when we were in our initial concepts, Stephen was stuck on a name, and kept saying it should be something that connects us, and our skills. Brett responded, “well, I can think of 100 right now, but let’s leave Rochelle out of it.” And so, a legend was born…

About Blind Barber
It used to be that the barbershop wasn’t just a place to get a haircut or shave; it was the hub of the community — where people came together to bond, socialize and exchange ideas. With the goal of bringing this camaraderie back in style, Blind Barber, a barbershop and cocktail parlor with locations in New York and Los Angeles, has created a concept that goes well beyond cuts, shaves and cocktails. By cultivating a product line, voice and destinations; Blind Barber has expanded into all realms of the modern gentleman: Fashion, Music, Lifestyle, Grooming and others.

Blind Barber hopes to create an identity that will cultivate personalities; a brand and place where creatives come to be inspired as well as inspire others.

Monica Watkins: Where does your passion for giving back come from?
Chef Andrea Napolitano: Everybody is supposed to give something back. That’s my way. You’ve got to, otherwise how can you live. You’re not alone. How can you live without giving back something? There’s no point. I mean life, it’s the circle of life and everything it goes and comes around. You’re supposed to do it. That’s the way I see it. Call it wrong, but if you see someone in need, if there is something you can do, you do it. I don’t know, I think maybe sometimes that’s why we’re here. In the end we all breathe the same air, so you’ve got to give something to someone else, because – ah, what do they call that? – Karma. Do something good, something eventually will come back to you. Sometimes you have bad times, sometimes you have good times – you know it’s like the old people used to say: once you fall down, what do you do? You get up and start over. (at NYC)
